Adelante is a space for younger generations to reimagine  the purpose of Spanish Ministry in the US and to cultivate relevant conversations to latino cultures. 

 

Adelante  2023 • Untold Narratives of Migration in Scripture
You may be the first, second, or third generation of family members who live in the United States. The plight of migrating is a significant part of the ongoing story of our Latino family history, yet often we separate our family story from God's story. Adelante 2023 will dive into the Scripture narratives of migration, and we'll discover how much our culture, family, and identity intersect with God's work through migration.

Our families' migration journeys are interwoven with complex and polar opposite spaces and experiences like separation and reunion, hospitality and hostility, and community or marginalization. Yet, consistently in the family narrative of migration is trust and faith in God, including our Dreamers community of DACA recipients who faithfully hold the tension of belonging to the community in a system that neglects them.
